Take the cardboard inner cylinder from a roll of kithcen towel. Push a sock thro' it & fold over about 1 1/2 ins at one end. now lubricate a plastic sandwich bag with a little cooking oil & push that inside the sock(the handle of a wooden spoon is good for this). Again fold over the top & secure sock & bag with a rubber band. I find this a fair substitute for the real thing. You can warm it in the microwave for a few seconds but do check the temperature with a finger before inserting a more sensitive part!
